Freaky Blogs!

How many of you have seen the movie Freaky Friday? Well here is a spin. How about I swap blogs with...CA Girl! (check out my post here) so without further Adieu here is CA Girl!!!

I feel all out of joint and completely disoriented.  Nothing is where I keep it.  Do you ever notice that?  Like if someone helps you by putting away the dishes, they don't put them away in all the right places so it takes you weeks before you find your potato masher again?  I actually had this happen.  My potato masher was missing for weeks...literally.  And then one day I was talking about the fact that I was STILL looking for the darn thing when my son piped up saying it was in his room.  Wait, what!?

Each week, I ask a question.  Sometimes that question is thought provoking and sometimes it's just silly.  But I always have questions.  Last week was crazy filled with drama, and my usual busy-ness of life so I hadn't really thought of a question....until Saturday when my mom sent me an instant message that went something like this:  OMG!!!  Yeah, my mom says "OMG" but for us it is OMGosh!  She saw a story on the news about a new bikini line for girls ages 4-8.  No big right?  Until you learn that this line has padding in the bras!  What in the world!?  But it is sadly true.

Who decided this was a good thing?  Who thought it would be "cute" to let their daughter feel like a "big girl"?  Why don't you let them roll up socks and parade around the house like a normal person!  All this does is invite trouble to these poor unsuspecting girls who have no idea what they are doing.  I am not at all keen on letting any man look at my daughters ever!!  So why make them a target?  It is practically impossible to find modest clothes for my daughters.  Especially dresses.  Dresses go from darling daughter to "which corner do you work" in a matter of about 2 years.  Up until they are about 12 you are fairly safe.  After that, well until the styles change it is a constant battle.  Is society to blame?  The media?  Surely not the parents!

This is why I am glad I don't have girls. Boys are a bit easier to dress.

No, I just saw this on TV....and it makes me sick. Seriously. SO WRONG. And then they wonder, "Why are there so many pregnant girls with low self esteem?"

ARGH! I have more to say but I can't because this is a kid's blog after all.

Someone needs to be slapped. That is all.

That bikini is absolutely appalling! How in the world can anyone have thought that was a good idea?

Wow, Toddlers in Tiaras (or whatever it was) and now this? It disgusts me and makes me so sad. Why oh why are even little girls being objectified? My daughter is going to wear mumus in the pool. And forever. My hubby says she will never be allowed to date let alone marry. Sigh. I may agree with him!
